PhD Thesis Title
Common Loon Population Studies: Continental Mercury Patterns and Breeding Territory Philopatry.
Current job description
I am the founder and executive director of Biodiversity Research Institute (BRI), a nonprofit, ecological research group. My research continues to emphasize ecotoxicology, particularly investigations with methylmercury availability and effects in wildlife, especially birds. My current research projects are over much of North America and within Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. I'm still very much attached to studying conservation issues related to the Common Loon and have expanded that curiosity to the Alaskan and Russian tundra with Yellow-billed Loons.
