My position promotes lake and watershed stewardship by assisting and enabling communities, citizen groups, local governments, industry, educational, and non-profit organizations with shoreland and lake protection activities in Minnesota's Northeast Region, resulting in sustainable use and development, and improved aquatic and shoreland habitats. One of my core responsibilities is to manage a trial program to test how directed incentives might encourage shoreland homeowners to protect or restore native shoreland buffers (the Native Shoreland Buffer Incentives Program).
