Suzanne Savanick

I established the Sustainability Office at Macalester College when I was hired in 2008. I coordinate efforts in implementing a comprehensive sustainability plan and implementing the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, serve as a resource to students in coursework, research, internships, and curricular and co-curricular projects, assist in integrating sustainability into the curriculum and teach courses on sustainability issues. I also oversee the effectiveness of campus-wide sustainability committees and promote Macalester's sustainability efforts on and off campus. In other words, my job is to help everybody else on campus save the world.
