For my master's I will be building multi-species models and data visualizations to help us understand how climate change will influence water quality and fish communities throughout the Midwestern United States. These models will help inform management by predicting which lakes will be resilient in the face of climate change, and which lakes we anticipate water quality and/or fish communities will change in the future. Water bodies that are more resilient can then be further investigated to determine which qualities make them resistant to change. We hope this research aids in protecting and managing waterbodies throughout the midwest to preserve them (and the species they contain) for future generations to enjoy.
