Conservation Sciences Seminar Series
Conflicts in Conservation, Spring 2020
Conservation science addresses issues where action is critical and the consequences of failure are great. As result conflict is often associated with and may be a fundamental aspect of protecting and restoring biodiversity. Effective conservation therefore demands an ability to successfully handle conflicts. How can handling conflicts in conservation be accomplished? This semester’s seminar speakers are invited to explore the theme ‘Conflicts in Conservation’ in their work in a series of talks that range in focus from species to ecosystems.
Seminar takes place on Fridays from 12:00-1:00 pm in 33 McNeal Hall. Coffee/tea and cookies 10 minutes before!
